This one is a rad story I am so excited to share with you guys.
Flash back to nearly 2013, I met Dave buying a skateboard from him off craigslist when I lived in California. (By the way, thanks Dave. It served me some great times for a solid 5 years) He seemed like an awesome guy, we chatted for a bit and in our conversation he mentioned he was a surf and wedding photographer.
That was everything I wanted to be at the time. I still dream of the surf photography life but there’s something absolutely beautiful about the connection between couples and that commitment for a lifetime. There’s also not much surf happening here in Texas ;)
Dave, being the awesome guy he is allowed me to join him in shooting a few weddings. He totally took me under his wing and taught me some really great basics. Forever grateful for that. Every photographer has to start somewhere and for another photographer to take them under their guide for a bit and allow them to jump into their weddings is something absolutely humble and awesome.
Flash forward to 2018, Dave asks me to photograph HIS wedding.
That was a pretty surreal moment for me. Dave + Mel, I hope I did y’alls wedding day justice. Congrats to this amazing couple :)
